Scientific research / CNR opens labs to Kenyan researchers

Rome - The National Research Council (CNR) will be the leading Italian public research institution welcoming Kenyan researchers to its laboratories and facilities, following the approval of funding proposals under the Ministry of University and Research (MUR) Italy-Kenya cooperation call. Seven CNR Research Infrastructure projects were selected under the MUR initiative, which puts into practice the Joint Declaration on research and innovation as well as the Memorandum of Understanding signed by both nations, aligned with the objectives of the Mattei Plan. "Opening our doors to colleagues from Kenya reinforces the CNR's international mission and highlights the strategic role of research as a catalyst for dialogue, shared growth, and development," stated CNR President Andrea Lenzi. "Sharing our laboratories, infrastructure, and expertise means investing in long-term relationships between scientific communities, fostering knowledge exchange, and training researchers equipped to tackle major global challenges, from healthcare and energy to climate change and digital transformation."
