Paris - On August 18, the Italian Cultural Institute of Paris will host a screening of Gianfranco Rosi’s acclaimed 2013 documentary “Sacro GRA” at its headquarters. The film presents an unconventional portrait of Rome by focusing on the lives of those living along the edges of the city's outer ring road (the Grande Raccordo Anulare), creating a mosaic of intimate and unexpected human stories. Sacro GRA made history as the first documentary ever to win the prestigious Golden Lion at the 70th Venice International Film Festival in 2013. The screening forms part of a broader cultural program marking the 70th anniversary of the official twinning between Rome and Paris, two capital cities bound by a rich history of artistic and cultural exchange.
