Vienna – Inspired by Gianni Rodari's The Adventures of Cipollino, the performance Cipollino by Niels Poiz and Bianca Millan will be staged on September 12 at NeverAtHome in Vienna. Cipollino is not a straightforward adaptation, but a narrative that gradually dissolves into images, voices, memories and gestures. For two hours, audiences move through a darkened room surrounded by video projections, sounds, darkness and live performance. Three video works by Paulo Wirz provide the backdrop to the performance, gradually revealing the space and the objects within it. At the heart of the work is a question: what remains of a story once its plot has disappeared? The event is organized by NeverAtHome in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Vienna.
