From Monday to Friday, BigItalyFocus provides an information overview, ranged from development aid to made in Italy
Madrid – Following its major success with audiences, the press and critics at exhibitions in Milan, Rome, Florence and Vicenza, Italia di Moda is embarking on its first international journey, arriving at the Italian Cultural Institute in Madrid, where it will be on display from September 12 to October 3, 2026. Created by photographer Andrea Varani and featuring his muse Ludmilla Voronkina Bozzetti, the exhibition presents 49 photographs that tell the story of Italy through the meeting point of fashion, art, landscape and cultural heritage. Clothing designed by some of Italy's most iconic fashion houses is not presented merely as an aesthetic element, but becomes an integral part of each setting, engaging in a dialogue with the landscape, history, creativity and identity of the country. The result is a powerful, contemporary visual journey in which fashion merges with the landscape and becomes the narrative thread of an original portrayal of Made in Italy. The project was born from a journey through all 20 Italian regions. Andrea Varani and Ludmilla Voronkina Bozzetti, together with a team of leading professionals, traveled through historic cities, villages, coastlines and natural landscapes to create a visual narrative celebrating the extraordinary cultural, artistic and scenic richness of Italy. The clothes interact with architecture, light, nature and materials, becoming storytelling tools rather than mere aesthetic elements. Ludmilla Voronkina Bozzetti accompanies visitors throughout the exhibition as a constant presence and narrative thread. Through her interpretation, photographer Andrea Varani's artistic vision takes shape: each image becomes a bridge between fashion and Italy's cultural and artistic excellence, giving voice to the places, traditions and emotions that make the country's heritage unique. It is from the encounter between Varani's vision and Ludmilla Voronkina Bozzetti's interpretation that a visual narrative emerges, capable of transforming each photograph into an emotional experience, in which the body becomes a language and fashion the thread through which Italy tells its story to the world. The exhibition's arrival in Madrid represents much more than its first international stop. It marks the beginning of a cultural diplomacy journey in which photography becomes a tool for dialogue between countries, cultures and different sensibilities. Hosted by the Italian Cultural Institute, Italia di Moda presents itself as an ambassador for Italy around the world, showcasing not only its creativity and manufacturing excellence, but also its artistic heritage, landscapes, history and the values that define the country's identity.
