Vientiane – The University of Parma has carried out an institutional mission to Laos. In recent days, Vice Rector for International Relations and Mobility Maria Cecilia Mancini led the mission to the Southeast Asian country as part of a project funded under the Erasmus+ KA171 Program, Call 2026. During the visit, Mancini traveled to the National University of Laos in the capital Vientiane, where she met with Vice President for Research and International Cooperation Phouphet Kyophilavong and Deputy Head of the International Mobility Division Soubin Sisavath. The meeting included teaching activities and provided an opportunity to explore various areas of cooperation between the two universities, including student mobility for study and internships, faculty mobility, the development of possible double-degree programs and joint participation in the next Erasmus+ KA171 and KA2 CBHE calls. The mission continued at Champasack University, where a dedicated workshop presented opportunities for international academic mobility and exchange for faculty members and students. Faculty and representatives from six departments and two centers took part in the meeting, receiving information on available opportunities, eligibility requirements and application procedures for participating in the international mobility program.
