Sydney hosts the EU–Australian Business Forum to strengthen bilateral ties

Sydney - Connecting Australian and European businesses, investors, and chamber networks in anticipation of evolving economic relations between Australia and the European Union is the core mission of the EU–Australian Business Forum. Promoted by the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Australia alongside OnePoint Growth Agency, the event will take place on September 17 in Sydney.
The Forum is designed to provide Australian companies with the tools, insights, and connections needed to navigate opportunities surrounding the prospective Free Trade Agreement between Australia and the EU, while simultaneously strengthening commercial and investment ties with European markets. Bringing together institutional representatives, businesses, exporters, investors, and chamber networks from both regions, the initiative takes an operational, relationship-driven approach focused on long-term partnerships.
This growing focus on the European market unfolds against a backdrop of deepening economic integration: the European Union is Australia's second-largest trading partner, with bilateral trade exceeding 110 billion Australian dollars annually. Meanwhile, the rapid transformation of Western Sydney is generating fresh prospects for commerce, investment, and innovation. The development of the Western Sydney International Airport, Bradfield City Centre, and the Aerotropolis region is designed to cement the area's status as a premier international hub within the Australian economy. Against this backdrop, the EU–Australian Business Forum aims to foster a deeper understanding of market opportunities, guiding businesses as they prepare for evolving market access conditions and forge new cross-border partnerships.
