University of Parma signs cooperation agreement with Zambia’s DMI-St. Eugene University

The University of Parma is further expanding its cooperation with African higher education institutions. Rector Paolo Martelli welcomed Ananth Thomson, President of the University Council of the DMI-St. Eugene University in Lusaka, Zambia, to the university headquarters. During the visit, the two institutions signed a collaboration agreement opening new opportunities for academic exchanges, joint research, and shared study pathways. The agreement consolidates and expands Parma’s ties with institutions belonging to the DMI group, an Indian Catholic organization dedicated to education, healthcare, and women’s empowerment in vulnerable communities across India and Africa. This latest pact follows cooperation agreements signed last July in India and Tanzania, reinforcing Parma’s strategic priority of boosting international academic cooperation for students, faculty, and researchers.
