Munich – Following the launch of services announced over the summer connecting Munich with Turin and Milan via Lugano and Chur, long-distance bus operator Itabus is doubling its offering to Germany. Alongside the two daily services on the existing route, the company is launching a new line connecting southern and central Italy with Germany. The new service links Naples, Caserta, Rome, Florence, Bologna, Mantua, Verona, Trento, Bolzano, Bressanone, Vipiteno and Innsbruck before reaching Munich. The expansion also brings new countries into the Itabus network, with Austria represented by Innsbruck, as well as several destinations that were not previously served, including Trento, Bolzano, Bressanone and Vipiteno. The two new daily services come in response to strong demand recorded during the first weeks of the company’s operations to Germany. From Naples and Rome, overnight buses depart at 7:40 p.m. and 10:50 p.m., respectively, arriving in Trento and Bolzano early in the morning – making them convenient options for passengers travelling to those destinations – before continuing on to Munich, where they arrive at 12:25 p.m. Passengers travelling from Munich can take an Itabus departing at 5:40 p.m., reaching Trento and Bolzano later that evening before continuing on to Naples. The new route provides a connection between Munich and destinations across Italy, following the initial success of the services operating via Milan and Turin. “A few weeks after launching our first services, we are seeing a very positive response from travellers. The success of the routes between Milan, Turin and Munich confirms the demand for an offer that makes major European destinations increasingly accessible. With the new international route, Itabus is further expanding its network by connecting Munich and Innsbruck with all the main Italian cities in our network, from north to south,” said Francesco Fiore, CEO of Itabus.
