Maputo – “Italy for Agribusiness in Mozambique” was the theme of the 2026 Mozambique–Italy Business Forum, which brought together institutions, companies and representatives of the Italian and Mozambican business communities in Maputo for two days focused on opportunities for cooperation and development in the agribusiness sector. The initiative was organised by the Italian Embassy in Maputo, the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) and the Câmara de Comércio Moçambique Itália, with the support of the Agrifood Africa network. Agribusiness and the opportunities it offers for developing new economic ties between Italy and Mozambique were at the heart of the forum, with particular attention to investment, strategic partnerships, knowledge and technology transfer, and the sustainable development of agricultural value chains. The forum provided an opportunity for institutions and private-sector representatives from the two countries to exchange views, with the aim of increasing awareness of opportunities in the Mozambican market and creating the conditions for new forms of cooperation. A central part of the event was devoted to B2B meetings between Italian and Mozambican companies and business representatives. (9colonne)
