Tokyo – As part of celebrations marking the 160th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Italy and Japan, the Young Musicians European Orchestra will make a stop in Tokyo during its tour, performing on Friday, October 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Italian Cultural Institute. The programme features Bach’s Concerto in D minor for Two Violins and Orchestra, BWV 1043, with soloists Indro Borreani and Martino Colombo, followed by Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, with Borreani as soloist. Founded in 2008 and legally established as a cooperative in 2017, the Young Musicians European Orchestra (YMEO) is an Italian youth orchestra with an extensive international presence. Based in Ravenna, it brings together musicians with an average age of 23, with ensembles ranging from 20 to 100 performers. Its repertoire spans from the Baroque period to contemporary music.
