New York – From fine dining to the World Truffle Auction, and from Turin to Brazil, the United States and India, the Consorzio Asti DOCG has a packed autumn ahead. Between October and November, the consortium will take part in a series of events in Italy and overseas, showcasing the region’s wines. The programme opens with Buonissima, the food festival taking place in Turin from 21 to 25 October, where Piedmont’s aromatic sparkling wines will feature throughout the event. The focus then shifts to Milan, where the consortium will attend Golosaria from 31 October to 2 November. A dedicated space in the event’s wine shop will give visitors the opportunity to sample the full range of Asti wines. The calendar also includes several international trade events. In the United States, the consortium will first attend Vinitaly.USA in New York on 26 and 27 October, before heading to San Diego for the SommCon Conference & Beverage Expo, running from 3 to 5 November. Alongside an official tasting counter featuring around 30 labels, the programme will include a dedicated masterclass led by wine educator Alan Tardi. The international tour will then continue in India, where Asti DOCG will be showcased alongside Brachetto at ProWine Mumbai on 18 and 19 November. A masterclass exploring Piedmont’s aromatic wines will take place on the second day of the event, led by Sonal Holland, India’s first female Master of Wine. (9colonne)
