Hong Kong – Cathay – WestK Jazz Fest, the flagship event of WestK Performing Arts, returns in November for its biggest edition yet. For the first time, the festival will span two weekends, offering audiences ten days of music and cultural experiences: from 13 to 15 November, from 17 to 22 November, and on 24 November. Now in its eighth edition, the event will bring more than 100 internationally acclaimed artists to Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour. The line-up will span jazz, local pop, emerging creative talent and interdisciplinary performers, with around 50 events, both ticketed and free, ranging from live music to performances in the Art Park. For the occasion, the Italian Cultural Institute in Hong Kong will present one of the rising stars of the Italian jazz scene: pianist Francesca Tandoi, who will perform alongside Stefano Senni on double bass and Pasquale Fiore on drums. Renowned for her fluid, nimble style, melodic clarity and compelling improvisation, Tandoi combines the elegance of traditional jazz with a contemporary rhythmic sensibility, showcasing the energy and vitality of a new generation of jazz musicians.
