(18 maggio 2018) The Rector of the University of Palermo, Professor Fabrizio Micari recently visited Columbia University in New York. One of the final objectives of his visit was to strengthen the relationship between the two universities. The historic campus of Columbia University, the laboratories and facilities on Water Reclamation & Resource Recovery were the highlights of the Rector's visit. During the visit, Professor Micari met with Professor Kartik Chandran, Professor of Environmental Engineering and Director of the Columbia University Biomolecular Environmental Sciences Program and Wastewater Treatment and Climate Change Program. "Both have agreed on the importance of starting a partnership between the two universities and have stressed the importance of establishing exchange programmes for graduate and PhD students focusing the joint actions on research" according to the University of Palermo's website.
