From Monday to Friday, BigItalyFocus provides an information overview, ranged from development aid to made in Italy
Riyadh – Saudi Arabia is an important partner for Italy, offering great opportunities in the green energy transition as well as in opening new markets, including in Africa. This was stated by Valentino Valentini, Deputy Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, in Milan during the event "Green Shoring Global Initiative - Navigating Manufacturing Supply Chain Challenges Through Resiliency," organized by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Investments with the support of The European House Ambrosetti. "Green shoring," he emphasized, "means transferring elements, parts of the value chain to partner countries. It’s an alliance that involves not only energy exchange but also joint production to meet green standards that are not only national: EU mechanisms require companies to assess the entire value chain, making it a global issue. Saudi Arabia is a leader in fossil fuels and intends to invest significantly to also become a leader in the new frontier of renewables, starting with green hydrogen, building a new energy system in which Italy can play a part." More broadly, however, Valentini noted, "Italy is a chosen partner by Saudi Arabia; the relationship between our countries is longstanding, but it needs to deepen and gain further strength. This is what we are working on." (9colonne)
