London – An evening dedicated to the works of novelist Elena Ferrante will take place on October 7 at 6:30 pm at Hatchards Piccadilly. The event marks the launch by Europa Editions of a new single-volume edition of the entire Neapolitan Quartet. Ten years have passed since Ferrante’s bestselling saga captivated readers around the globe. The books, translated into more than forty languages, have reached millions worldwide.
To celebrate the occasion, writers Margaret Drabble, Catherine Taylor, and Natasha Lehrer will join journalist Rosie Goldsmith, director of the European Literature Network, in a conversation about their first encounters with Ferrante’s work and what her books have meant to them as readers and writers over the years.
