Young Italian scholars share architectural research at Zurich Art School

Zurich – On 24 February at 7:00 pm, at the Zurich Art High School (Liceo Artistico), Elena Sofia Moretti and Marco Felicioni - winners of the second edition of the Premio Mendrisio - will present their research projects to students.

The Premio Mendrisio is a scholarship and research residency focused on themes in architectural history, aimed at young Italian scholars seeking to deepen their methodological tools for studying contemporary architecture. Both researchers conducted their work at the Archivio del Moderno in Balerna, in the Canton of Ticino.

Moretti will present her research titled “Emilio Battisti and Architectural Education During the Years of ‘Experimentation’ at the Politecnico di Milan.” Felicioni will discuss his study “Ticino: An Idea of the City. Aurelio Galfetti and the ‘Reflection Group’ on AlpTransit.”

The event offers students a direct encounter with award-winning research and contemporary approaches to architectural history.
