Warsaw – On the occasion of Italian Design Day 2026, the RE-DESIGN project, Regenerating Virtual Space Through Italian Game Design, will be presented in Poland. The initiative is promoted by the Italian Cultural Institutes of Warsaw and Krakow, the ICE Office, and the Italian Embassy in Warsaw, together with IIDEA – the Italian Interactive Digital Entertainment Association – and in collaboration with Video Games Poland (VGP). The project interprets video games as a language of contemporary design and as a space for experimentation where design, culture, and technology intersect. The event will take place on February 10 at the Italian Cultural Institute in Warsaw, where the public will be able to take part in in-depth panel discussions, specialized networking sessions, and showcases of video games developed by Italian studios, offering an overview of the most recent experiences in national game design. At the heart of the event is the program “World-Building and Community: Cities, Memories, and Beliefs in Italian Video Games,” which explores video games as cultural spaces and expressive media capable of constructing complex narratives, shared imaginaries, and new forms of community. Daniele Azara, Chief Creative Officer of Stormind Games, will attend the event as Design Ambassador. Stormind Games was awarded Best Italian Company in 2025 and received the Best Italian Game recognition at the Italian Video Games Awards. On the occasion, a showcase of video games by the Italian companies Stormind Games, CINIC Games, Memorable Games, and Invader Studios will also be inaugurated. The video games on display will remain available and playable until February 28.
