“The Number Ones”: economists, associations and entrepreneurs honored in Switzerland

Bern – “The Number Ones” is the name of the award promoted by the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Switzerland, in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Bern, held last March 19. Now in its sixth edition, the prize recognizes Italian professionals who have distinguished themselves through their contribution to strengthening relations between Italy and the Swiss Confederation. The initiative aims to highlight paths of excellence that, through everyday work, foster economic, cultural, and scientific dialogue between the two countries, helping to consolidate a climate of mutual trust and respect. “The Number Ones” is a symbolic award designed to give visibility to high-quality experiences that are often far from the spotlight, yet highly impactful. The award also stands out for its inclusive and transnational vocation: while maintaining a strong Italian identity, it is conceived as an initiative capable of transcending borders, valuing diversity as a source of richness and a driver of development. The evening opened with institutional greetings from the President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Switzerland, Vincenzo Di Pierri, and the Consul General of Italy in Zurich, Mario Baldi. This year’s edition recognized nine individuals and organizations that, in different fields, represent examples of expertise and international vision: Maria Anselmi, Head of Start-ups and Next Generation Division at Innosuisse; entrepreneur Claudio Cisullo; Elia Congiu, COO of MSC Cruises; Simone Gibertoni, CEO of Clinique La Prairie; economist Luisa Lambertini; scientist and professor Prisca Liberali; Giona A. Nazzaro, Artistic Director of the Locarno Film Festival; Enrica Porcari, CIO of CERN; and Italia Valais, an association committed to promoting integration and economic relations. (9colonne)
