July 4 - The "lady" of reggae Mama Marjas is launching her international tour to present the album "We Ladies," created in collaboration with Miss Mykela, that made her famous in the Italian reggae scene. Mama Marjas is a natural talent: young and very confident, she is rooted in reggae but has a strong musical culture. She is today the most recognized and appreciated female artist in the reggae and Italian black music scene, thanks to the success of her first two albums, "B-Lady" and "90". She simply dominates the stage and sound system, stretching her voice between different styles and languages, winning the audience thanks to her skills and good character. Maria Germinario was born in 1986 in Puglia, between Santeramo and Taranto, and she is now preparing for the Puglia Sounds Export tour under the pen name Marjas Mama. Saturday, she will stop by Luxembourg for Meyouzik Festival, an open-air festival organized by the Luxembourg City Tourist Office, held in the heart of the city. On July 13, she will be in Croatia, for the Colours of Ostrava festival. The event is the largest international music festival of the country and one of the most prestigious of Central Europe. Mama Marjas will later perform in Tabor, in Croatia, at the Mighty Sounds Festival, one of the most important punk, ska and reggae music festivals in Europe. In August, she will be in Tunisia, in Tabarka, for "Nights in Tabarka".

MAMA MARJAS & MISS MYKELA: A WINNING DUO

"We ladies" (Love University Records / Self) is the studio album by the reggae duo composed of Mama Marjas & Miss Mykela. Produced with the support of Puglia Sounds, it was released last year. The album, produced by "Don Ciccio" for Love University Records with the support of Bass Culture, won the Region Active Ingredients 2010 - Young Ideas for a better Puglia. Maria Germinario (born 1986), aka Mama Marjas, is the most recognized and appreciated female artist in the reggae and Italian black music scene thanks to the success of her first two albums, "B-Lady" and "90" (both produced by University Love Records). Michela Giannini, aka Miss Mykela, is a singer from Salento with a versatile voice that allows her to explore different styles: Jungle, Brum & Bass, electronic, Dub Step, classic Reggae and its new trends of Jamaican Dancehall.
