Muscat – Oman Sustainability Week, the country’s leading trade exhibition and a key reference point for major players in renewable energy, energy transition, and fossil fuels, has opened at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre in Muscat.
The event plays a crucial role in connecting the Sultanate’s sustainable development policies with the operational strategies of international companies, fully aligning with Oman’s “Vision 2040” roadmap.
For the second consecutive year, a large Italian delegation is taking part in the exhibition, with a significantly stronger presence compared to 2025. This year’s edition features the inauguration of a 120-square-meter Institutional Pavilion, organized through close cooperation between the Italian Embassy and the Italian Trade Agency (ICE). The pavilion will host 18 Italian companies operating across a wide range of sectors, including waste management, energy efficiency, advanced logistics, agricultural automation, and technologies for digital and industrial transition, reflecting the diversity and competitiveness of Italy’s industrial system.
On the Omani side, the event brings together leading operators from both the traditional and renewable energy sectors, including institutional stakeholders and major industrial groups.
During the opening day of the exhibition on May 18, a joint development agreement was also signed for the creation of a next-generation green data center in Oman. The agreement was signed by RINA, Vitali, Forte Secur Group, Dream Group, and Corpolgia as part of a strategic partnership aimed at developing sustainable digital infrastructure in the Sultanate in line with the goals of “Vision 2040.”
