Stockholm – On Friday 5 June at 8:30 p.m., the Cappella Neapolitana and Pino De Vittorio will perform at the Tyska Kyrkan in Stockholm as part of the Stockholm Early Music Festival, in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in Sweden. On the occasion of the 2,500th anniversary celebrations of the founding of the city of Naples, the ensemble presents a programme centred on the commedeja pe museca, a 17th- and 18th-century theatrical style combining virtuoso performance, singing, theatre and improvisation. Balancing elegance and drama, irony and melancholy, this stage tradition is brought back to life by singer and actor Pino De Vittorio, one of its foremost interpreters. (9colonne)
