Dublin – The international production “Mirandolina” will be staged at the Abbey Theatre from 28 August to 5 September. A multinational co-production led by the Teatro Stabile del Veneto – National Theatre, in collaboration with the Abbey Theatre and the Croatian National Theatre Rijeka, the play is supported by the Italian Cultural Institute of Dublin and the Embassy of Italy in Dublin. Adapted from Carlo Goldoni, the production is written by Marina Carr, translated by Monica Capuani and directed by Caitríona McLaughlin. It forms part of the cultural programme of the Milan–Cortina 2026 Olympic Games and premiered in Europe on 5 February at the Teatro Del Monaco in Treviso. It now arrives in Dublin for the summer season, opening the Irish Presidency semester of the Council of the European Union. (9Colonne)
