Munich – Can frontier technologies help solve the major economic, industrial, and environmental challenges of the coming years? This question will take center stage at "Deep Technology for a Sustainable Future: A Conversation Between Industry and Academia," an upcoming event scheduled for July 9th at the Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) of Munich.
Organized by the Italian-German Chamber of Commerce in partnership with LMU Munich and supported by the Italian Embassy in Berlin, the event will gather leaders from academia, industry, and the innovation ecosystem. Together, they will explore how deep-tech solutions can drive more sustainable models of economic development. The forum also aims to foster stronger bilateral cooperation between Italy and Germany in research, innovation, and tech entrepreneurship within an increasingly competitive and green-focused European landscape.
The centerpiece of the day will be a panel discussion titled "Deep Technology, Innovation and Sustainability." Featuring insights from university experts, innovative startups, and high-tech enterprises, the debate will focus on leveraging emerging technologies to create a tangible impact in strategic sectors such as space exploration, artificial intelligence, and industrial sustainability.
The event, which will be conducted entirely in English, will conclude with a networking session designed for professionals, researchers, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders looking to forge new partnerships between the research community and the business world.
