From Monday to Friday, BigItalyFocus provides an information overview, ranged from development aid to made in Italy
The Ambassador of Italy to Ecuador, Giovanni Davoli, paid an official visit to the city of Manta. During an event attended by over 150 representatives from both the local and Italian communities, Brenda Ratti officially assumed her role as Honorary Vice Consul of Italy for the province of Manabí.
Saul Pacurucu, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility, presented Ratti with the Exequatur from the Ecuadorian government, authorizing her to carry out her duties. Following the presentation, Ratti made the prescribed solemn pledge before the Ambassador. Mayor of Manta, Marciana Valdivieso, was also in attendance.
As Ambassador Davoli highlighted, Manabí is home to one of the largest Italian communities in the country, with over 4,000 residents. The region is also a primary export hub for seafood—mainly tuna—bound for Italian and European markets. (9colonne)
