Toronto - Annamaria Bagnasco, Professor of General, Clinical, Pediatric, Obstetric-Gynecological, and Neonatal Nursing Sciences at the University of Genoa, has been inducted into the 2026 International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame by the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (Sigma Nursing).
The honor was presented during the 37th International Nursing Research Congress in Toronto (July 16–18, 2026). Established in 2010, the Hall of Fame recognizes researchers who have made significant, sustained contributions to advancing nursing research and elevating patient care. Bagnasco was one of 26 scholars selected globally for the 2026 cohort. Her citation highlighted her impactful work in patient safety, ethics, fundamental care, and nursing education, with a strong focus on translating scientific evidence into clinical practice and health policy.
