Ephesus – A special concert celebrating the finest traditions of Italian opera will take place on June 23 at 9:30 p.m. in the iconic Library of Celsus in Ephesus, Turkey.
The event is promoted by CIDIM (Italian National Music Committee), in collaboration with the Italian Consulate in Izmir and the Leone Magiera Foundation. The performance will feature five outstanding young artists from the new generation of Italian opera: sopranos Anna Cimmarrusti and Sara Minieri, tenor Lorenzo Martelli, baritone Nicola Farnesi and pianist Alessandro Zilioli.
The evening’s program will guide audiences through some of the most celebrated works in the operatic repertoire, showcasing masterpieces by Gioachino Rossini, Gaetano Donizetti, Vincenzo Bellini, Giuseppe Verdi and Giacomo Puccini.
Set against the extraordinary backdrop of one of the ancient world’s most renowned monuments, the concert promises a memorable journey through the beauty and emotion of Italian bel canto.
